FUE and FUT: Two Options for Restoring Hair

These are the two methods of hair transplantation available in the industry. Both offer amazing results and give fuller and natural appearance. The difference between them lies in the hair follicle extraction method.

What is FUE?
In an FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) procedure, the surgeon and technicians will extract each follicle from the donor area using a hand held machine. The technology is minimally invasive, the procedure time varies with each individual. Extracting follicles allows for much quicker recovery time.

The lack of scarring is the leading reason patients choose the FUE method. Since trained professionals remove each follicle individually only faint marks remain that heal in about a week. No trace is left when you grow your hair out an inch long. Patients who wear short hair often choose the FUE method.

What is FUT?
FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) is a hair transplantation method done by removing a strip of hair from the donor area (back of head) and suturing the area carefully, leaving a fine line.

The procedure lasts 15 to 30 minutes and is great for candidates that are women, and men needing more than 1500 grafts or for hair styles that are long.

Non Surgical Procedure Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP uses their own plasma to trigger hair regrowth. Blood is drawn and processed before being injected into the patient’s scalp. The injections increase blood supply to the scalp which initiates and maintains new growth.
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)
Scalp micropigmentation, is a cosmetic tattoo that gives the illusion of a close buzz cut hairstyle on a bald head. The procedure can also be used to conceal the scars from hair transplantation or to make thinning hair seem thicker.
Microblading
Is a semi-permanent technique for enhancing the appearance of the eyebrows, in which pigment is scratched into the skin in fine, short strokes resembling hair, using a handheld tool with a blade formed of tiny needles.
